 Fat-Burning Foods

Fat-burning, or catabolic foods help stabilise insulin levels which in turn help to burn up more calories. This is why the following catabolic foods are emphasised during our program.

Fruits
Blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, grapefruit, lemons, limes, oranges, papaya, pineapple, plums, pears, rockmelon, strawberries, watermelon, apples, apricots, cherries, grapes, honeydew melons, nectarines, peaches, tangerines, pomegranates and rhubarb

Vegetables
Particularly alfalfa and other sprouts, artichokes, asparagus, broccoli, brussels sprouts, carrots, celery, Chinese greens, cucumbers, eggplant, fennel, leeks, lettuce, fresh herbs, peppers, radishes, seaweed, spinach, tomato, zucchini, watercress, green beans, beetroot, cabbage, caulifl ower, corn, dill pickles, endive, garlic, onion, parsnips, peas, pumpkin, red cabbage, turnips, celeriac, mushrooms, sauerkraut and hot peppers

Protein foods
Most seafood, including bream, calamari, clams, crabs, salmon, flounder, mussels, prawns, tuna, lobster, trevally, sardines, scallops, cod, jewfish, oysters, sashimi, egg - particularly the whites (not fried), turkey and chicken breast without the skin, trimmed steak, pork fillets, lean lamb fillets, venison, rabbit, wild duck and pheasant.

BREAKFAST

IsoWhey Complete™ smoothie (1st serving: 1 sachet or 2 scoops), Herbal or Green Tea

MORNING TEA

If hungry eat 8 almonds and 1 apple

LUNCH  

Choice of vegetable soup or mixed green salad with chicken, fish or hard-boiled egg. Vegetarians may also use low fat cheese or tofu/tempeh

AFTERNOON TEA

Isowhey Complete™ smoothie (2nd serving: 1 sachet or 2 scoops) OR 8 almonds and 1 apple

DINNER 

Lean Meat with stir-fried vegetables or other meal suggestions OR IsoWhey Complete™ smoothie (2nd serving: 1 sachet or 2 scoops)

SNACK

If you require extra food have a small of portion - either apple, pear, berries, or a slice of melon

• Choose fruits and vegetables from your Fat-Burning Food List

• Ensure you drink 2-3L of water per day, this can include herbal teas

• Drinking 1-2 glasses of water before lunch & dinner will provide a feeling of fullness

• You may have 1-2 cups of coffee or tea per day, unlimited green or herbal teas and decaf coffee

• AVOID pasta, biscuits, cakes, sweets, rice and potatoes

• Enhance weight-loss by not eating too late at night

• It is very important to monitor hunger levels.

• Being in touch with hunger levels is one of the keys to weight loss. Do not go hungry: make sure that you eat from the permitted foods until satisfied. You should not eat more than you feel like.

• Food must be well chewed - increased chewing means you are also eating more slowly and increasing bulk in your stomach.
