Fine tune your Acid and Alkaline balance and feel the difference

STRESS = Dehydration

Dehydration = Acid

Acid = Inflammation

Inflammation = Potential for dis-ease to settle into your personal weak spot.

In the body’s attempt to alkalize your system it depletes valuable vitamin and mineral recourses e.g.

         When Acidity is high the body tries to take sodium from the stomach wall.

         If the stomach is lacking in sodium the body takes it from the next best place – the bones and joints.

         Natural sodium is a youth element and keeps the joints flexible.

         When the joints lose sodium – calcium takes it’s place resulting in Arthritis

         Headaches – stomach and chest pains can be caused by high acidity. Also the kidneys become overworked and will need support

PH: What Does It Mean?

PH is the abbreviation for potential hydrogen. The pH range is from 0-14, with 7 being neutral.
Above 7 is alkaline and below 7 is acidic.

The higher the pH reading, the more alkaline and oxygen rich the fluid is. The lower the pH reading, the more acidic and oxygen deprived the fluid is.

The internal environment of a normal healthy body is slightly alkaline, maintaining a pH of just above 7.

PH Balance in Your Diet

Ideally our diet should be composed of about 35% acid forming foods and 65% alkaline forming foods. The majority of fruit and vegetables leave an alkalizing effect. Most grains are somewhat acid forming as are protein foods (meat). Refined sugar is acid forming whilst natural sea salt is not. While this is the ideal it is not often the case. And remember, we live amongst acid toxins daily, even if we don’t eat them!

 What can we do to bring it all into balance?

  • Breathe deeply - when we are stressed we tend to breathe very short quick breaths,  by  learning to breathe deeply we can help alkalize our systems
  • Monitor your PH Levels - Purchase a PH Test kit and regularly check your and your Family’s PH
  • Monitor your food intake  and at times of stress increase your alkaline input Refer to chart
  • WaterWhenever there is a stress load – remember to drink water, water and more water.
  • Think Green Green foods are extremely alkalizing so  make green your  food source in times of stress
  • Chew Chew and Chew this aids greatly in neutralizing the acidity  When we are busy and stressed we tend to eat fast and gulp down our food
  • Add lemon to your daily water Lemons  are an acid food but are extremely alkalizing within the body
  • Avoid Caffeine - When stressed we often reach for caffeine .It takes 30 glasses of water to balance the acidity of one glass of coke
