Brown BioMillet
Alkaline, nutrient-dense whole food

Brown BioMillet is an organic, alkaline food for daily nutrition. Unlike the common yellow millet, this unique brown grain is farmed in a particular patch of soil in Europe that is naturally rich in silica minerals. Silica in the diet is required for elasticity in aging connective tissue. Connective tissue includes skin, tendons, sinews, hair, nails and fluid between the joints. All food grains are acidic except for millet and buckwheat. BioMillet is alkaline. The ideal diet is 80% alkaline and 20% acidic. The regular Western diet of processed foods and drinks is largely acidic.

Silca in plants 

When paddock grasses are blown in strong winds, they bend but do not break. Their silica mineral content taken up in the plants gives them natural flexibility and elasticity so they do not snap.

As the brown millet plant grows, it absorbs high level of silica minerals through the surrounding soil. The unrefined millet hull is retained during grinding as roughage, since it contains many important and valuable trace minerals. The more common yellow millet does not have the silica levels of the rarer brown millet.

Suggested use

• To retain the natural enzymes and nutrients, do not heat BioMillet
• For regular daily use, add a heaped desert spoon of Brown BioMillet once or twice a day to cold food such as fresh fruit and yoghurt, or mix in a cold drink such as juice. 
• For those with bigger need for silica, add up to 50 grams of BioMillet with cold food or drinks morning and night. Millet is a nontoxic food. 
• When chewed raw and mixed with alkaline saliva, BioMillet provides maximum nutrient absorption.
• Uncooked ground millet is nutritionally better than millet flakes which have been cooked, heated and processed. Heat and refining both destroy fragile enzymes only found in raw foods.
• To maximize shelf life and nutrients of this perishable food that does not have preservatives added, store BioMillet in its original cellophane packaging in the refrigerator. Cellophane (from plant cellulose) breathes. Use an elastic band to seal the packet. Some people freeze BioMillet in its unopened package.
